“China and the United States are deeply rooted in a complex web of interdependence that encompasses all aspects of the economy, society, and extends to countries around the world.” “The world needs U.S.-China cooperation.” A few days ago, Ganshid, an expert on China at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies, and American columnist Farid Zakaria wrote articles commenting on China-U.S. relations.

Since the San Francisco meeting of the Chinese and U.S. premiers in November last year, under the joint efforts of both sides, China and the U.S. are advancing in various fields and at various levels: the two militaries have resumed communication and dialogue, U.S. teenagers have come to China for exchanges, the working group on counter-narcotics cooperation has been launched, and the mechanism for intergovernmental dialogue on artificial intelligence has been put on the agenda ……

At the same time, the U.S. side is still saying one thing and doing another on some issues: it continues to make a fuss over Taiwan, the South China Sea and other issues related to China’s sovereignty and core interests; it suppresses China in science and technology, economy and trade; and some members of Congress have proposed a number of bills or clauses targeting China.

This year marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States. In order to deal with China-U.S. relations, the most important bilateral relationship in the world, the people of China and the U.S. need to look more dialectically and rationally at the positive and negative aspects in the development of bilateral relations, and to work together to seek the right way to get along with China and the U.S. in terms of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win co-operation.
