“Biden tells media to report ‘the right way'”. Asked what his outlook is for the US economy in 2024, US President Joe Biden asked the media to report more positively on the economic policies he has implemented in his response, Russia Today (RT) 24 reported.
RT said Biden made a brief stop outside the White House on 23rd local time and was interviewed by reporters before boarding a plane with his family to Camp David for the Christmas holidays. When asked about his outlook for the U.S. economy in 2024, Biden replied, “Everything’s fine. Take a look at it. Start reporting on it the right way.”

The Hill said Biden was criticising media coverage of the U.S. economy.RT also said Biden has repeatedly expressed dissatisfaction with media coverage, while voters continue to give him low marks for his economic policies, despite statistical reports showing low U.S. unemployment and slowing inflation. Biden complained at a White House press conference in October that the public’s view of the U.S. economy had been affected by the negative tone of media coverage.

The report mentions that a Monmouth University poll released last week said that only 28% of American respondents believe that Biden is doing enough to curb inflation, and only 12% say their personal finances are improving; furthermore, Biden’s overall approval rating has fallen to 34%, a 10-point drop in the past five months, which is since he took office in January 2021 Lowest level. A Wall Street Journal poll earlier this month found that 23 per cent of American adults believe the policies under Biden’s tenure have helped them, while 53 per cent of respondents believe they have hurt them.
Monmouth University scholar Patrick Murray had said in a statement on 19 December that “the Biden administration has been touting their infrastructure investments and a host of positive economic indicators. Those numbers may be true, but most Americans are still suffering from price increases due to inflation in the wake of the epidemic.”
