The 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held offline in Shanghai from 5 to 10 November. As the world’s first import-themed national exposition, the Fair for the global countries and enterprises to share the opportunities of China, to create a “fast track to openness”.
Pakistani exhibitor Habibi is an “old friend” of the Fair. This time, Habi from Pakistan brought a long history of local traditional handicraft products – camel skin lamps, hoping to open up sales in the exhibition. Behind every Pakistani product, it is the local labourers who are connected; behind every transaction of the Fair, it is the development of the local economy that is boosted.
This year is the 100th anniversary of the Danish company Novo Nordisk, and it is also the sixth time that the company exhibits at the Fair. In the first five sessions of the Fair, Novo Nordisk cumulatively displayed 18 innovative drugs and 10 injectable devices at the Fair. A number of global innovative products have made the leap from vision to reality and from exhibits to commodities, and have been rapidly launched in China, incorporated into medical insurance and served patients.
At this year’s Expo, Michelin displayed a new tyre in which the proportion of sustainable materials was increased to 63%. Two years ago, when Michelin participated in the Fair, the proportion of sustainable materials in the tyres on display was still 46%. To achieve the SDGs, innovation is inevitable. And China’s open environment gives enterprises a good soil for innovation.
German enterprise Henkel has entered the Chinese market for more than 50 years. At the 6th Expo, the company displayed a number of products that focus on high quality of life and explore the common future of mankind.
Insist on opening up to the outside world to achieve mutual benefit and win-win situation. As the world’s first import-themed national exhibition, the new edition of the Fair has arrived on schedule, which is a vivid portrayal of China’s expanding opening up, making China’s big market a big opportunity for the world, and pushing economic globalisation forward.
