{"id":3562,"date":"2023-10-09T01:26:47","date_gmt":"2023-10-09T08:26:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abovecloud.xyz\/?p=3562"},"modified":"2023-10-09T01:26:49","modified_gmt":"2023-10-09T08:26:49","slug":"interview-chinese-initiatives-promote-development-peace-worldwide-says-al-official","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/abovecloud.xyz\/?p=3562","title":{"rendered":"Interview: Chinese initiatives promote development, peace worldwide, says AL official"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>\u00a0The global initiatives launched by China over the past decade, including the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), have helped promote development, security and stability worldwide, a senior official of the Arab League (AL) told Xinhua in a recent interview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/abovecloud.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/\u56fe\u7247-4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3563\" srcset=\"https:\/\/abovecloud.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/\u56fe\u7247-4.png 1024w, https:\/\/abovecloud.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/\u56fe\u7247-4-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/abovecloud.xyz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/\u56fe\u7247-4-768x512.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adel Al Asoomi, speaker of the Cairo-based Arab Parliament affiliated with the AL, described the BRI, launched by China 10 years ago, as an important initiative because it creates win-win partnerships and common interests among participating states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Common interests undoubtedly overcome the problems and difficulties that countries go through, which is why the Arab Parliament sees the BRI as a global initiative that will surely benefit all countries of the world,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The initiative is welcomed by the AL, which represents all Arab states, he said, noting that China has undertaken mega-development projects in several Arab states under the BRI umbrella.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Arab Parliament supports the initiative &#8220;because it has positive effects worldwide and brings the countries of the world closer,&#8221; the Arab Parliament speaker told Xinhua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>China also launched in the past few years the Global Development Initiative (GDI), the Global Security Initiative (GSI), and the Global Civilization Initiative (GCI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;These initiatives have been welcomed by most countries of the world because they are positive and in favor of the international community,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Highlighting the fact that Beijing&#8217;s mediation has helped Saudi Arabia and Iran restore diplomatic ties after years of rift, the speaker said reconciliation between the two countries, both big, influential countries in the region, will &#8220;surely lead to positive results for the region and the world.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leading a delegation of Arab parliamentarians, Al Asoomi visited Beijing in late August and met with senior Chinese legislators and other officials to discuss bilateral cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The Communist Party of China (CPC) actually played an important role in China&#8217;s development,&#8221; said the Arab lawmaker, applauding the CPC&#8217;s successful programs to eradicate absolute poverty in the giant Asian country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I sensed that the CPC is close to the people, not in words but in actions, programs and activities,&#8221; he added, commenting on his latest visit to China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the visit, the Arab Parliament speaker voiced support for the Chinese global initiatives that seek to foster development and peace worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Amid increasing challenges facing the world, these initiatives &#8220;represent the opposite of wars, crises and problems and serve the international community in many ways,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0The global initiatives launched by China over the past [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":3563,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[13],"tags":[1723,1725,1724],"class_list":["post-3562","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-highlights","tag-al","tag-1725","tag-1724"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.0 -
